Viega Geopress tapping valves – a safe service connection right from the start
The extremely robust tapping valves from Viega are available for drinking water and gas and are ideal for connecting to Geopress K systems. In combination with nine outlets for water and eight outlets for gas and hydrogen, these high-strength plastic fittings offer incredible flexibility on construction sites.
Spot drilling of the supply line takes just a few minutes. The tapping valve is placed around the pipe like a bracket and tightly connected with the pipe using a press tool. The integrated milling cutter for PE pipes means that drilling can be carried out directly without having to use an external drilling machine. To ensure anti-twist protection of the tapping valve, a sleeve is simultaneously inserted into the drill hole.

The clamping rings in blue (Geopress K for drinking water pipelines and geothermal energy) and yellow (Geopress K gas for natural gas, liquid gas and hydrogen supply lines) prevent confusion and ensure safety.
Press connections with internal sealing
Significantly reduce the amount of labour required on construction sites with this pioneering press connection technology. With Geopress K and Geopress K gas, the preparatory work on pipelines required for welded joints is no longer necessary. Secondly, the connection is tight, tensile and resilient immediately after pressing the pipe onto the support body of the connector.
Weatherproof installation
Installation can be completed not only in rain and snow without extensive protection of the connection point. Mounting can be completed without any problems even at outdoor temperatures of -10 to 50 °C. Working regardless of the weather significantly simplifies processes on construction sites.

Lead-free alloy made from silicon bronze
Enjoy safe connections with zero-lead alloys. Viega already uses lead-free silicon bronze as the alloy for all transition connectors – and thus exceeds the requirements of the strict EU Drinking Water Directive 2020/2184. As the hygienic silicon bronze is also corrosion-resistant, it is equally suitable for use in drinking water, gas and hydrogen supply lines.
Unconditional quality

Geopress K systems for drinking water, gas and hydrogen are tested in accordance with the specifications of ISO 17885 and DIN EN 1555, and they are DVGW-certified in accordance with the applicable regulations. Furthermore, every connector is equipped with a traceability code.
